Toward the end of the 1800’s and early 1900’s a group of women in Britain and America known as the Suffragettes led the way in demanding equal voting rights. These disks show portraits of leading Suffragettes from countries including the United Kingdom, America and Australia. Emmeline Pankhurst, Susan B. Anthony, Alice Paul and Elizabeth Cady Stanton and others are linked by threads of purple, white and green to illustrate a universal bond of solidarity, bravery, strength and determination.
